Guitarist Susan McDonald has delighted audiences the world over from community centers to Carnegie Hall. Her audiences have ranged from the elderly residents of a Viennese nursing home to the President of the United States.and her music has been enthusiastically received in concert halls, outdoor festivals, libraries, schools, museums, universities and hospitals.

Widely recognized as an exciting talent through her concerts in the Americas and Europe, Susan's specialty is her communication with the audience. Her flawless technique becomes transparent as she mesmerizes the listener, speaking both through her words in explaining the pieces and through her complete surrender to the music.

Now becoming known as a composer as well as performer with recent features in Soundboard and the internationally broadcast Classical Guitar Alive, Susan has recently developed a series of concerts which incorporate music, literature and science.

Susan McDonald has recently joined the roster of the Texas Commission on the Arts as a touring artist.

"She sat in a long red dress...her eyes shut and her fingers running over the strings, completely absorbed in the music and the feeling she was communicating. I saw the tremor of excitement ripple through the crowd..."
